TICKETS AND ADMISSION FEES

Due to the currently high COVID-19 infection rates in Denmark, you must wear a face mask or visor at the museum.

This applies to all guests, including school classes.

There is an exception for wearing a face mask for children under 6 years of age.

The requirement for a face mask also applies in the workshop.

There is no requirement to wear a face mask if you have a health justification (physical / mental).

Face masks should not be used when sitting down at the tables in the cafe.

You can buy face masks at the museum for DKK 10.

Single membership: kr. 370,-

If you are using GPS we recommend writing Sanatorievej instead of Gudenåvej, as there are several roads named Gudenåvej in Silkeborg.
There are excellent parking facilities at Museum Jorn. Parking is free.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

BY BUS OR TRAIN
Silkeborg is situated 45 km from the city of Aarhus.
There are hourly train departures from Herning, Aarhus, and Skanderborg (connecting to Copenhagen and Hamburg).

The nearest airports are Karup (via Copenhagen), with special taxi connection to Silkeborg, and Billund (45 km south of Silkeborg). From Billund airport there are also direct busses to Silkeborg

The boat tours by the "Hjejlen" group call at the museum ("Indelukket" stop).

The museum is in walking distance from bus and railway station (about 1,5 km and takes fifteen minutes by foot)

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is permitted provided that it is strictly for private and personal use only.
A handheld camera may be used but tripods, flash or other equipment is not allowed.

FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED

Visitors with a disability pay a concessionary rate and carers’ entrance is free.
The museum's exhibition area is accessible by wheelchair.
Wheelchairs and prams can be borrowed at the museum. Advance booking is advised.


TOILETS

Accessible and standard toilets are located on the ground floor next to the reception.
Standard toilets and baby changing facilities are also availble in the basement.


CLOAKROOM

The cloakroom is placed next to the reception area.
On our lower-floor there is a bigger cloakroom for larger groups and schools.
Lockers are available free of charge.


PRAMS AND STROLLERS

Prams and larger strollers can be stored in the museum's pram parking area. It is possible to borrow smaller prams.
Please ask at the reception for more information.


SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed inside the museum.


BACKPACKS, LARGE BAGS, UMBRELLAS

Large bags and rucksacks are not allowed in the exhibition area. They must be placed in the cloakroom where lockers are available.


PACKED FOOD

Unfortunately it is not possible to enjoy brought food inside the museum. You can enjoy your food in the Indelukket area where there are picnic tables available.
