Provision for children and youth is a significant part of Museum Jorn’s objectives, in keeping with Asger Jorn’s vision of art as a cross-cultural language. We have various offerings directed at children and youth, and adapted for school or family visits to the museum.
SCHOOLS AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMMES
Schools and after-school programmes have the option of requesting individually customised tours.
The museum also holds a large annual Children’s Exhibition, to which children from the Silkeborg municipality in classes 0 to 5 (ages 6 to 11, approx.) contribute works.
FAMILIES
During the holidays we have special offers on guided Family Tours, in which we go exploring in Jorn’s visual universe. FOR DATES, PLEASE CHECK OUR CALENDAR IN THE ‘ACTIVITIES’ SECTION.
FAMILY WORKSHOP
During the autumn and winter holidays, we organise Family Workshops, where one can try out different techniques and methods inspired by our current special exhibitions.
KIDS’ CORNER
In the Kids’ Corner, you can relax in a beanbag chair with a movie or book, draw, or perhaps try out the toys.
