ART THAT TURNS ME ON
‘Art that turns me on’ is the name of a recurring series of afternoon events at Museum Jorn.
Here, art enthusiasts have the chance to encounter and hear about – and get a closer look at – selected works from the museum’s collections.
Each time, different people are invited to select one or more works that, in various ways, represent something special to each of them, and their enthusiasm for which they wish to share, and discuss with the audience.

ART QUIZ
The Museum Association art quiz brings back memories of 1983, when DR (Danmarks Radio) launched a TV game show about visual art, with painter Per Arnoldi as host.
Here, two three-person teams were quizzed about original works, which were rolled into the studio,and that the teams then discussed.
Factual information on the works, such as their artists, titles and dates, were obvious elements of the competition, but interpretations, the works’ historical contexts and the teams’ personal interpretations and analyses of the works were also taken into consideration, when the panel of judges voted.
Taking its point of departure in selected works from Museum Jorn’s collections – together with two dedicated teams with various professional backgrounds and outlooks on art – the art quiz is a recurring activity for museum association members.
